Ontario 2010

It's about time that we sit down and actually throw something together for our trip to Ontario this spring. We've been pretty busy, and these blogs actually take some time.
For those of you who weren't in on it, we went to Sarah's parents' for the first week, in Southampton, near Owen Sound. This is on the beach.

Below is probably my favourite picture of Keenan to date. I had so much baby time while I was home! It was amazing!! Now that we're back in BC we have to communicate by Skype and Keenan certainly can tell who I am on Skype now. He's even started calling me "Yeah yeah" (for Sarah, of course!).

We also took off to MacGregor Point Provincial Park for snowshoeing trips. Neat place, but you'd never know it from the lack of pictures.

This is Keenan, Sarah's nephew, at the in-laws.
We took a walk out to the trailer for a day, it was one of our few sunny days in Ontario... People complain about rain in BC, but think we've gotten way more sun this year than you guys.
Rosy in the snow. It took a mere 2349863 tries to get this one just right.
I also insisted on going out to see the sunset, which was pretty neat over the ice. Sadly, I had my camera on the wrong setting, so a bunch of them didn't turn out all that well.
This is is the Southampton museum. Interestingly, this tiny town has a better museum than Vancouver. Better displays, more interesting stories, you name it. And it was much cheaper. In this shot Keenan got in the way of the giant squid model.
There was some stuff for Sarah to play with too: she got bored reading about local history.

The cutest thing happened here. As soon as Keenan started playing with the tractor, he started making tractor noises with his tongue (blwwwweeewwww). It was adorable! He also tried to eat the fake sand in the fossil exhibit - Remi left the photos of me shoveling it out of his mouth out, I see ;)
I have no idea what the educational value of these things is... but Keenan liked them.
Dad lent me his 50mm f1.4-22 lens. It was good fun, if anyone is looking for gift ideas...

This is the museum in Toronto, everybody seems to be complaining, but I thought it was cool.

That's us in the shot! Remi had to make sure the sidewalk was clear before snapping that one.
Our dog being generally useless.

This was at the cottage. In Maggie's defense, we're all generally useless at the cottage ;)
Julien and Megan's dog being generally useless. You'd figure we'd have more family pictures, but most of the shots were of dogs... and a few of Sarah. Weird.

There were definitely more photos, but it's a pretty good sampling here. I'm too lazy to go through them for others, but I'm glad Remi found the time to throw this blog together!

Keep your comments coming :)

Sorry I missed you two when you were here! I was really bummed that I had to work during your engagement party...

Once again great shots! Rosie in the snow, Sunset on ice and Sarah leaning on her hand are my favourites. I think! They're all great though :-)
