Joséphine's First Birthday!

How did this happen?!  Josie is ONE YEAR OLD!

Here are a few pictures from our family birthday celebration.
Cupcake "smash".  Surprisingly, she didn't dive into the sugar fest - it took her a few minutes to warm up.  She did polish off the whole thing though ;)

Presents!

Alphabet letters for the fridge.  SHE LOVES THEM.  Hours of amusement.  More than a few are missing already though!
Her birthday present from Granny and Papy also arrived just before her birthday.  She was able to go for a ride the day after.
The peddles are a bit of a stretch and we had to tie her in but she loves it!
 Determination!
 Weeeeeee!!
Ok, that's enough ;)

Also on the day after her birthday, we had a party!  Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate :)

Party dress!  A special thanks to Sandra and Chris for this lovely dress!  The bow didn't last long, but surprisingly the dress stayed on and relatively clean ;)
Strike a pose!
She was handing out kisses to her friends (here with Natalia).
 Let's get this party started!

Evan and Jack found some toys in Josie's room.  Although when CAKE was called, these were quickly forgotten!
 Free cake!  Thank you Thriftys!

Diving into this one took a little less time than the cupcake.
 Where's the rest of it?
I guess I'll eat the plate...

Ontario 2014 - Josie meets the family!

Josie and I headed back to Ontario for a few weeks in late September-early October to close out her first year with a bang!  She flew very well, slept like a turd most nights, and had a blast with her cousins.  We were also able to catch up with a few old friends along the way!  Thanks again to everyone who fit us into their busy schedules.

Josie and I went to the cottage for a few days with the Massons.  Luckily Megan, Julien and Aoife were able to join us!  As were Tim and Laura and their new bundle, Sierra (then 2 months old).
 Silly face!
A bathtub in the hallway.  Totally normal!
 From the dock.
Bonjour Granny!
After a few more days in Toronto, Jo and I headed up to my parents' place near Southampton (thanks for the ride, Papy!).  More wagon fun!
Taryn, Kristin's third was born September 18 - the day Jo and I arrived in Ontario!  Here's the new mama multitasking.
Gavyn was (is?) a bit unsure about sharing his mama with the new munchkin ;)
Out for lunch with two of my favourite people!
 The beach!

We went out for dinner with the whole West family for Josie's 1st birthday.  Yummy fish and chips AND JoJo's first taste of chocolate cake!
These last few photos are a bit out of order.  I didn't take many pictures with my camera so these are from Mom and Dad's new one.

Sleeping cousins.
Kisses for Grandpa.  Josie is a total Grandpa's girl!
 But Grandma's alright too ;)
 Bath time show-down!
Mom also arranged a baby meet and greet with the Wolosinovsky side.  We finally got to meet Jayden!  And visit with Great Grandpa and all the aunts and uncles :)

 New toy sharing.
 And lots of kissing!

 Last night cuddles.
We did go back to Toronto for a few days afterwards and I have many more photos on my cellphone but I haven't downloaded those yet.  This will have to do for now!

Looking forward to the next visit!
