The three birds are black turnstones, apparently. I almost stepped on them before I saw them.
A sea lion in the harbour. They were scavenging scraps from a trawler. I'll be seeing a lot of these guys this summer, so I should be able to get better pictures.
World famous Long Beach, south of Tofino. The weather was pretty terrible for the first day, then on and off for the second. It makes for good pictures though.
Every second idiot with a camera takes one of these shots, and I'm no exception.
Officially we were out fishing, but that got boring, so we went whale watching. We saw a grey whale, but the picture is lousy, so I left it out.
A squall came in for the trip back, which made for a bit of an adventure. Pretty cool.
